OPENING DOORS, EMPOWERING DREAMS & CREATING PATHWAYS THAT GIVE EVERY STUDENT THE OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED
The Solidarity Scholars Program operates through a solidarity group framework of 5-8 families of committed parents and students that meet monthly to encourage, motivate and distribute academic assistance funds within the group.
Solidarity Scholars is one of today's most innovative community based educational initiatives, committed to building a learning framework that helps every student realize his or her academic potential.
MORE THAN JUST A SCHOLARSHIP, DESIGNED TO HELP YOUNG STUDENTS SET AND ACHIEVE ACADEMIC GOALS
Educational support teams begin working with kids during the second-half of the students' 8th grade year. Monthly objectives are set and academic assistance funds are distributed as drivers in this goal-oriented, incentive- based program. Scholars commit to each group of parents and students with a 4-year funding plan that builds a solid learning foundation.
Each newly formed group must attend a 1-day course where students align with the mission of this solidarity group concept, reinforcing group accountability and ensuring a commitment to the principles of team building as they relate to inspiring academic achievement.
